Finally, I'm back with some photos! Blank Dogs is just so fucking good live. No Compass and Poison Ivy are probably my favorites songs. They have been playing shows quite a lot lately, a better news than them or rather him not playing any show at all. Definitely the distorded/lo-fi vocals from the records are amazing, unfortunately it's not the same live. Still Blank Dog throws some sweet vocals in just rather different goodness. I just remembered some interesting opinion about him from a musically inclined individual and I must say fuck you. Vivian Girls, Wavves and Woods are all great bands but none of them is greater than the other. I do prefer Blank Dogs thou. Hopefully Mike, will play Poison Ivy live next time as he said he would:)
I just realized that both bands have the initials of BD. Blank Dog, Black Dice, Blank Dice, Black Dog, what else? This is actually my first time watching Black Dice live so I can't really compare that much besides from what they used to play in their first record, Lambs like Fruits. It's basically the same on wikipedia, from hardcore days to dub jungle sound. The stuff they played live was really catchy and I think most of the people in the show were there for Black Dice. Highlight of the night guy dancing crazy and me drinking a half full plastic cup of whiskey.
