Cakeshop Thursday

Another Thursday night, which is basically have become my second favorite night/day of the week. Don't you get excited after a long tiring night of Thursday and next thing you know its actually Friday already? So off I go to take the gypsy bus aka immigrant bus to get to the PATH. Weapons of choice, Muji beanie and backpack. Backpack comes with camera, Murakami novel, umbrella and mp3 player.

Electric Tickle Machine were actually pretty good. They look very hipsterish thou and the drummer reminds me of Danny Materson. Unfortunately, because of me being late I missed to get in front and got some crappy pictures. My head is stuck with timeless tickle machine for some reason. Second set, Silver Rockets, their vocals reminds me of Lawndon but what really bothers me is the pedal set up of their guitarist. Why the hell is this huge pedal set up barely even use in their songs? Or am I just really a newb since I haven't set foot on a pedal since 2003? Spindrift played third to my surprise. I knew they were the headliner of the show so I thought I could have left the show early if Ringo Deathstarr played before them.A bit disappointed to what happened, I found amusement towards girls dancing in the front row. Maybe they're really into some psychedelic stuff? I have lots of maybes and question marks.

Spindrift set was great, I don't enjoy they're type of music often but this one one of the few exception. So after two Heineken and midori sour, past after midnight, Ringo Deathstarr is finally playing in front of me. I love "In Love". They seem to have some balloon fetish. Silver balloons? Also will you tell your girl friend to stop dancing that way. I mean, I don't really care if someone is dancing to your dreampop tunes unless they dance very strange. Also, I hate the guy video taping the whole thing, not the old guy btw. I feel terrible that after 200 raw shots not a single one looks sharp. Seriously!

Yeah, the photos are not sharp. :(
